Michael Smith Jr. is a 4th hour student interested in attending Louisiana State University. LSU originated from land grants in 1806, 1811, and 1827 and William Tecumseh Sherman was its first superintendent in 1860. Smith plans to major in business management to become a CEO and LSU has a great business management program that allows customization through electives and specializations over 22 months or more. He has been a fan of LSU sports since age 7 and enjoys the campus and its proximity to his home.

Louisiana State University and Agricultural
Mechanical College originated in certain
land grants made by the United States
government in 1806, 1811, and 1827 for use
as a seminary for learning.

school.
 Many have been professional athletes.
 Some are Shaquille O’neal, Pete Maravich,
Patrick Peterson, Brandon Bass, and Glen
“Big Baby” Davis.
 LSU has several Ancient Indian mounds in the
corners of their campus

9. Why I want to attend LSU
 I have always wanted to go to LSU since I
was 7. I am a fan of their sports, which is
the main reason why I like LSU. I have
been on their campus several times and I
enjoyed it every time. LSU, in my opinion,
is the best school in the state, and it is 10
minutes away from where I live.
