The aircraft experienced repeated skipping of the MGB burn chip detector. During maintenance on September 22nd, the chip appeared clean but the issue returned on a subsequent flight. Examination of the chip on September 27th found an abnormal fragment, leading to grounding of the aircraft. The MGB and related components were removed for investigation and repair while the aircraft was placed in storage.

4. STATUS REPORT
• During the maintenance departure at the company Leonardo do
Brasil on 03/SEP/2021, it was reported that the burn chip break was
skipped, it was reactivated and we continued with the maintenance
tests.
• After the flight on 07/SEP/2021, cmte reported that the problem
occurred again, the technician checked the chips and noticed a sludge
on the top chip, without any particles.the burn chip break was
restarted again and the operation continued.
• On 27/SEP/2021 it happened again and during the inspection of the
chips, the particle found only on the upper chip was noticed, which
resulted in the aircraft stopping so far.
5. During the return to Rio de Janeiro at the Angra dos reis beams, he again had the
same problem of skipping the SWICHT of the CTP CHIP BRUN again, upon receipt of
the PR SDA machine he reported to me and I rearmed and we were monitoring, the
next day the procedure made the removal of the CHIP and identified that there was
an oil sludge similar to a gel I thought it was normal.
I communicated to Cmte Ricardo that we had to turn the machine to do a test
because we had a suspicion of filings in the CTP on the CHIP of the mast, this on the
date of 22/SEP/2021, we continued with this procedure and took the opportunity to
do a compressor wash and during the rotation it did not present the problem and I
looked at the chip again and it remained clean, I released the machine to return to
service.
During the return of the flight from BH, I was informed by the crew that the SWICHT
had jumped again, but no identification appeared on the EDU, we went back to the
runway and we didn't have good news, the CHIP had a strange fragment that was not
metallic and we interrupted the flight that was destined for SP, I contacted the
workshop.
