1. The leadership and personal branding programs are topic-based programs that are led by dynamic C-
suite executives and the executive connections circles are led by professional coaches in Cincinnati,
Cleveland and Columbus.
Leadership circles - A key issue for women in leadership has been identified as leadership
presence. In order to speak to this challenge for women developing careers in healthcare, the
HBA Ohio chapter leadership mentoring program has been built around the idea that one can
learn to become a confident leader. The program has been developed from themes in the book
Leadership Presence: Dramatic Techniques to Reach Out, Motivate and Inspire by Belle Linda Halpern
and Kathy Lubar.
Personal branding circles – Our current world is infinitely connected and competitive due to
globalization and the use of social media. Your personal brand is the catalyst to take your career
to the next level. In this program you will take steps to learn about who you are and to develop a
marketable brand that stands out in today’s healthcare industry. Mentees in personal branding
circles will each develop an advertisement to showcase their brand. These ads can be print ads,
billboards, radio/TV commercials, any media. Ads will be showcased at the final celebration. The
program is facilitated by themes in the book Branding Pays – The Five-Step System to Reinvent Your
Personal Brand by Karen Kang.
Executive connections – Geared toward CEOs of tomorrow, these circles take nominations
from our Corporate Partners. Participants will gain from interacting with a dynamic C-suite
sponsor and local executive coach. Additionally, participants will share experiences, industry
perspectives and insights, experience in-depth conversation and develop relationships to help take
their careers to the next level.
The fee for participation in circles is $189 (value exceeds $1,200). It includes a kickoff event in April
(date TBD), four mentoring circle sessions held in May-September, a celebration event in October, a
book and custom-resource guide to facilitate your conversations and learning. These successful
programs provide growth opportunities for mentors, mentees and their organizations.
The deadline to apply and register for the HBA Ohio chapter leadership or personal branding
mentoring programs is April 15, 2015. Once payment has been received, you will receive a link to a
brief survey to be used for mentor/mentee match purposes before registration will be complete.
