There is an impact from currency effect since THB per USD has appreciated 5.6% from 2010 to 2012
With more stringent in the price control imposed by the Ministry of Public Health in recent years, medical device
companies have to abide to this regulation and thus lower down their net profit margin since 2011. With such
measurement, the government is able to liberalize some of its budget and extend the universal health coverage to
a wider population. This ultimately leads to the increase in accessibility to health services and thus their spending.
