Mise en scene; in the title sequence such as colour used in
the background of the text too emphasise a type of
thriller, the use of colours such as red and black, red to
signify the bloody part of the film and black the dullness
and intensity that may be in the film. The colour of the text
titles, light on a dark colour scheme.

fades in & out, the gradual lightening of
the image from black to light, in this
case the way the red background
fades to the black background. Also
the iris in at the beginning of the
opening sequence white to black.
Each shot is on average at every 5 secs
they change.
4. Camera shots used and movement in
the opening sequence such as a
pan, the camera moving from the left
side.
The choice of framing, the framing of
the text has a variety of frames either on
the left or the right. The actors framing at
first is at the left of the screen then
changes throughout.
5. How do all the layers of sound
work together? :
dialogue, ambient noise, sound
effects and non-diegetic music.
Dialogue – in the opening sequence of this film there is no
dialogue which is heard.
Ambient noise – the ambient sound during the opening
sequence make the audience aware of what is happening in the
scene.
Sound effects – the noise of the shot of the gun at the beginning
of the opening sequence. A sign of an abrupt shocking
beginning catches the audience attention.
Non-diegetic music – after the sound of the gun shot non-
diegetic music fades in which help set the mood.
