ITV1 shows sections of different kind of shows that are suitable for any ages, they will show children's shows in the mornings, and then as the day goes on the TV changes to be aimed more at adults. They don’t have a fixed set of target audience, all shows they show can be viewed by any member of the public. There are other channels that ITV1 have; ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4. Each one of the sub channels are all aimed at different target audiences.

E4 is a sub channel of Channel 4, but this is aimed at a different audience to the main channel which is aimed at people aged 1535, it mainly broadcasts shows that are popular in America, so we can see them over here. It also shows English shows such as Misfits, Shameless, Hollyoaks, Skins, The Inbetweeners, and My Mad Fat Diary. The Inbetweeners was most successful broadcast shown on the channel.
- 4. This is a sub channel of BBC, it is used to aim audiences of the age 16-34. Because of some of the shows broadcasted on the channel, the channel does not come on air until 7PM and stays on air until 5AM. There are a verity of shows broadcasted, like comedies, TV series with different genres. The channel has a unique news system where between programs at certain time it will have news in 60 seconds. This is a good way to get news to younger viewers without them losing interest about what is going on.
