What is the target audience for
channel 4?
   The target audience for channel 4 varies as
    from the times 3-7 there are shows such as:
    Big bang theory which is a comedy show.
   How I met your mother which is also a comedy
    show
   Hollyoaks which is a teenage drama.
   These shows are mostly aimed at teenagers
    who go to college or students who go to
    university as in these times they would have
    come back from studying and would sit down
    and watch these shows.
   After 7 channel four mostly broadcasts documentaries
    such as the sex education show, adult humour such as 2
    broke girls and new girls.
   These mostly aim at male and females ages 16-21 as
    they would have been more influenced on these types of
    subjects and also the sex education show would appeal
    to 16 and overs. Also mostly children aged 15 and under
    would be going to bed as there would be school the next
    day

   Also on channel 4oD if you was to watch a show like sex
    education show, a parental control top up would show
    up and would ask to confirm whether you are 16, 17 or
    18 and over. Therefore these shows are shown on TV at
    a later time.

    would be from 6-10
   Teenagers would have come back from
    school/college they would want to sit down
    and watch comedy shows or documentaries

    audience which are mostly woman who do not work
    and stay at home during the day. As the kids would
    have went to school and the mothers would be
    home.                             Target audience:

    Doctors, only fools and horses, who let the

    keep up to date with politics.

   My chosen channel is channel 4
    because:
   It appeals to the same audience I want
    which is teenagers ages 16+
   The documentaries that they show
    most of the time have the same genre
    that I want to do. Such as: My big fat
    gypsy wedding.
   Also I would like to show my
    documentary at 10pm which is when
    all documentaries are shown on
    channel 4.

    Tuesday at 8pm.
   This would appeal to adults and also teenagers
    from age 16
   As the parents of the children would want to
    watch this to get advice if their child is in danger
   And also the teenagers aged 16 would want to
    watch this because they also want advice for
    themselves
