Menu labelling is a tool to inform consumers of energy content of meals in the eating-out environment and help consumers make informed decisions. This review examines the effectiveness of menu labelling to reduce energy consumption. Fifteen studies, including 17, 859 participants are included in this review. Evidence suggests that menu labelling reduces overall energy consumed and ordered in the eating-out environment. This webinar examined the effectiveness of menu labelling to reduce energy consumed in the eating-out environment.

Creating a business process that is accurate, predictable, and capable of
meeting the changing needs for disclosing information about clinical trials
in multiple study registries and results databases is difficult. Companies
need to leverage their current clinical trial process, determine if the disclosure
steps will be centralized or decentralized, determine how much to
leverage technology, and decide whether, and how, to use outside
resources. During this session, we will hear how a large pharma, a small
biopharmaceutical company, and a device company developed their clinical
trial disclosure business process.

BioMs 2008 Annual Report
BioMS Medical is developing dirucotide to treat progressive multiple sclerosis (MS). They are expecting results in the second half of 2009 from their phase III MAESTRO-01 trial testing dirucotide on 611 patients with secondary progressive MS. If successful, it would be the first treatment approved for this population. BioMS has invested $180 million and over 1,300 patients have participated in clinical trials of dirucotide to date. A partnership with Eli Lilly provides funding to complete development and commercialization of dirucotide globally if the phase III trials are successful.

EIU Value Challenge
This document discusses the "value challenge" facing the biopharmaceutical industry. It conducted a global survey of 399 life sciences executives and interviewed experts. The key findings are:
1) Demonstrating value is a significant and long-term challenge for most drug companies worldwide. While financial pressures have increased scrutiny, demands for proof of value have evolved for decades.

Pilot programs with insurers have shown DocDoc can significantly reduce healthcare costs through better doctor selection, improve patient outcomes by steering people to higher quality providers, and achieve nearly 90% patient satisfaction rates.
EIU Value Challenge
This document discusses the "value challenge" facing the biopharmaceutical industry. It conducted a global survey of 399 life sciences executives and interviewed experts. The key findings are:
1) Demonstrating value is a significant and long-term challenge for most drug companies worldwide. While financial pressures have increased scrutiny, demands for proof of value have evolved for decades.
2) Many industry stakeholders, especially biopharmaceutical companies, lack confidence in their ability to respond effectively to the value challenge.
