 They should also intrigue the audience,

wanting to see more.
 Its important that film openings show a little bit
of the story line but not enough to give away
the plot.

Most film openings last about 2 minutes, but go no longer
than 5 minutes.
 Introduce key characters
They should introduce the key characters within the movie
and give a hint to their role.

They should establish were the film takes place and in
which time period

 Key credits
Film openings should show the key credits within the film,
such as main actors/actresses and producers
 Key event
Often in film openings a key event will occur, to interest
the audience

5. My film opening
 I will introduce the key protagonist in my film
opening so the audience know the who the
main character is.
 In my film opening I will establish the time
period and setting of my film by using an
establishing shot.
 Show the audience what type of genre my film
opening is.
