MAINTENANCE ENGINEERING CORPORATION
December 22, 1997
REFERENCE LETTER---DAWN RAY
Dawn Ray began her employment with Maintenance Engineering Corporation, Houston, Texas in June,
1994, after graduation from the University of Houston with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. Dawn
accepted a position as an analyst in the water chemistry laboratory of the Water Conditioning Division.
After successfully completing her training and demonstrating her proficiency in the following lab
analytical procedures—Gas Chromatography, Colorimetry, Spectrophotometry, Mass Spectrometry, and
Ion Exchange Resin Evaluations—she was assigned to the ion exchange resin section of the laboratory.
In addition to performing the resin evaluations, Dawn interpreted the results and presented
recommendations to the clients. Recommendations to customers included resin replacement, improved
performance via resin cleaning, or regeneration/process changes.
Dawn’s demonstrated self-confidence led to a sales position in ion exchange resins after working in the lab
for only one year. Her territory included Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. She has
increased sales revenue for each fiscal year. She has been instrumental in defining and executing sales
strategy involving the major U. S. ion exchange resin manufacturers—Dow,Rohm and Haas and Sybron
and has been activate in local, regional and international marketing events (International Water Conference-Pittsburgh,
PA) securing new business and providing customer support.
Dawn’s unique leadership skill as a team builder is her greatest strength. Whether a sales situation or
technical problem, Dawn promotes and establishes a “team” concept to work to an acceptable solution.
I greatly appreciate Dawn’s contributions and wish her continued success.
Sincerely,
B. R. Fritsche
