Jeff Han is a Consulting Research Scientist at
  NYU’s Department of Computer Sciences
In “Jeff Han demos his breakthrough touchscreen,”
We see an amazing multi-touch display,
Designed by Han and is team at NYU, being
Demo to show case the sheer versatility and
Possibilities this technology could have on
The world as we know it.
With a High Resolution, low cost of manufacture,
And wide range of scalability Han drives the
Point home that this display should be the future
Of computing; Making the computer work
Naturally rather then mechanically.
Jeff begins by showing us what has been in the field of touch technology, and that
Is single contact. With this new technology, he explains, all ten fingers can be used
Effortlessly.
Han also goes on to show that not only is the display touch sensitive but also
Pressure sensitive as well.
He shows a few different
Applications out of the
Infinite possibilities for this
Display including editing and
Creation, play and
Productivity.
Han poses the question; Shouldn’t computers conform to us and not the other
The other way around?
All the while, Jeff reiterates that he believes this is the future of computing.
Mr. Han used Nancy Duarte’s Presentation model BEAUTIFULLY!

What is now happening What could be possible
Han uses a combination of both
Visuals, as well as “curiosity”
to capture and hold the
audience’s attention.
He also uses humor to help
Maintain the rhythm, rather then
Droning on about how great the
Display is .
Sir Ken Robinson also likes to use
humor to captivate his audience.
Where Mr. Han and Sir Robinson
Differ is a matter of personalization
In that, Mr. Han is using Awe and
Wonder along with mild dry humor, while
Sir Robinson is using personal stories
Along with numerous amounts of humor.
Dynamism Score: 4/5

I really liked the fact that Jeff knew
His material and new how to
Explain with out boasting.
While the presentation was very
Amazing not only visually but,
Intellectually, I felt that Mr. Han
Could have engaged the audience
Just a little more.
I’ve learned that knowing
Your material along with
Having a passion for what
You do, are not only
Necessary, but vital to a
Good delivery and an
Over all great presentation
And that is my tip. Being passionate or knowledgeable in your field is
Great, but together, your possibilities are ENDLESS!
