WHAT IS COMMUNICATION AND BARRIER ?
• Communication is the activity of conveying
meaningful information. It requires a sender, a
message, and an intended recipient.
•Barrier An obstacle in a place that prevents us
from completing certain tasks.
• Communication barriers can be defined as the
aspects or conditions that interfere with effective
exchange of ideas or thoughts.

LANGUAGE BARRIERS
Language barriers usually occur when two
people who speak different languages
cannot understand one another, and there
is a breakdown in language and
communication.

CULTURAL BARRIER IN COMMUNICTION
CULTURAL BARRIER:
(1). BELIEFS AND BEHAVIOUR :cultural difference causes behavior
differences like body language, manner, norms etc. which leads to
miscommunication.
for example; in some culture eye contact is importance whereas in
some it is rude and disrespectful. Beliefs means something as true. It
It is also another cause for cultural barrier.
(2).STEREOTYPING AND PREJUDICIES: Stereotyping is
the process of creating a picture of a whole
culture, overgeneralizing all people belonging to
the same culture as having similar characteristics
and categorizing people accordingly.
Each age group has a different general approach to
work, which often leads to conflicts with older
workers describing younger workers as "slackers,"
and younger workers criticizing older workers as
being "out of touch
