This document provides tips for writing a successful MBA admissions essay. It begins by explaining that the admissions essay is the most challenging part of applying to business school. It then provides five tips: 1) get started early to avoid procrastination, 2) avoid dramatic intros unless highly relevant, 3) be honest and don't try to say what you think admissions wants to hear, 4) directly answer the specific questions asked, and 5) back up claims with relevant examples from your experiences. Fill-in-the-blank exercises are also provided to help applicants generate initial content for their essays.
