Reverend, Alfred Cooper and former Chilean miner, Jose Henriquez told their
story of survival and rescue. Jose was the 33rd miner, trapped underground and
rescued after 69 days. This was truly an inspirational story of survival and
perseverance. The event was well attended with over 160 people present at the
Ches Leach Room. The purpose of this luncheon was not only to tell a great
story but to bring awareness to the importance of implementing safety measures
in the mining industry.

of hosting Ms. Elyse Allan at our recent luncheon event on May 1/12. Ms.
Allan is the President and CEO of General Electric Canada, as well as Past Parkland Ambulance
Chair with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Darwin Zurakowski
Ms Allan joined a group comprised of Business leaders and Civic leaders and Mark-it Signs Graphics and Web
administration in some round table discussions. These discussions were Greg Breeze
inspired by three documents; two of which were the result of work completed
by General Electric Canada; “Towards a Remote Communities Investment Affinity Insurance
Strategy for Canada” & Remote, Resource Rich and Ready”, and the third was
