AIM for AMES - 2019
Dear Neighbor:
I’m asking your participation in a May Day Event to be held at 4515 N 65th Ave, 6572 Ames Ave and to
expand to the businesses on Ames. Jeff Waschkowski & I became the stewards of an earth-sheltered
home & as I thought about how we could share & be good neighbors, I thought of May Day. We have
delivered door hangers and flyers about Law Day & Loyalty Day…both of which are observed on May 1.
For over 12 years we gave tours of our concrete earth-sheltered home. Many have joined us for a fun day
of exhibits, workshops & more.
This is the plan for 2019.
On The Edge is on the corner of 66th & Ames Ave & have broadened services from this location, as well
as developed a co-lab/shared office space that is available for short & long term rent or lease. I’m
contacting neighbors (near & far) to invite you to participate this year for May 1 from noon – 8:00. We will
also have an Open House at the Earth-Sheltered (Community) Garden at 4510 – 4538 N 65th Ave.
‘AIM FOR AMES’ evolved and we invite everyone to Aim for the businesses on Ames (and close by). We
encourage participation on May 1 and beyond. If you want to assist in the planning or volunteer, we are
gathering from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. M-F at 6572 Ames Ave. Please enter at the SE Entrance.
