Claims Subrogation Adjuster (2009 – 2015)
Responsible for the subrogation claims from the third party insurance companies for all of the United Van
Lines and Mayflower domestic cargo shipments in the system. Reported to the Manager of Claims in a
department of 25-35 employees. Responsibilities included e-mailing documentation and providing status
updates to the third party insurance companies in regards to subrogations and tracing for missing items.
Also reviewed National Account Contracts as they applied toward the carrier’s liability amounts and claim
coverage. Prepared settlement letters detailing the claimed items and the carrier’s settlement amount for the
subrogations and allocated claim chargebacks to the correct liable parties on the subrogations. Reviewed
system information in regardto the revenue distribution to correctly allocate the claim chargebacks,entered
and reviewed system memo pad entries on the subrogation claim orders.
 Participated in the CPPC convention in 2014 for the agents and furniture repair firms.
Claims Review Specialist (1999 – 2009)
Responsibilities included reviewing claim settlement inquiries from agents that were disputing the claim
chargebacks on particular orders. Also reviewed and determined the correct chargeback and re-allocated
the chargeback to the correct parties on the order if necessary. Prepared and organized training round table
meetings for the Adjusters to help them better understand how to correct claim chargebacks. Also
responsible for the monthly Excel reports for management to determine quantity and specific errors for the
month. Prepared a monthly report detailing results from the data and recommendations for improvement to
management and the Adjusters. Reported to the Director of Claims. The department included 40-50
employees during this time frame.
 Preparation, Organizing and Presentation of the Claim Adjuster Roundtables for training purposes
in regard to Claim Chargebacks.
Government/Military Adjuster (1993 – 1999)
Handled responsibilities of Alternative Service Claims. Duties also included a monthly statistical report
(Lotus 1-2-3); attended WordPerfecttraining in-house. Reportedto the Managerof Claims. The department
consisted of 55 employees during this time period.

 Selected to receive training on the Mayflower System in Indianapolis, IN in 1996 and trained the
Home Office Claims Management team on the Mayflower system, including Government and
Military claims.

General Motor account claims. Correctly allocated the claim chargebacks to the correct liable parties in the
