Ідея цього проекту народилась під час засідань підгрупи «Незалежні медіа» (Робоча група з демократії, прав людини, ефективного державного управління та стабільності) Форуму громадянського суспільства Східного партнерства у жовтні та листопаді 2010 р. в Брюсcелі та Берліні. Медіа-експерти з шістьох країн Східного
партнерства вирішили, що головний пріоритет роботи - це створення Дорожньої карти з медіа для країн – учасниць Східного Партнерства. А першим кроком у цьому мала стати підготовка аналітичних звітів – медіа-ландшафтів кожної країни. Проаналізувавши медіа-ситуацію в кожній країні, можна визначити спільні проблемні поля, над вирішенням яких і потрібно працювати спільно, поєднуючи в єдиній синергії зусилля, знання та досвід, а також залучаючи авторитет міжнародних інституцій для лобіювання певних рішень. Пропоноване нижче дослідження фіксує
тенденції розвитку українських медіа і має стати основою для визначення пріоритетів та дій в медіа просторі Східного Партнерства. Надалі, медійні організації передбачають виопрацювати єдину методологію та стандарти дослідження для всіх 6 країн.
Georgia has strong potential for cultural, eco, and adventure tourism due to its 12,000 historical sites, 8 national parks, and varied terrain. The country saw major growth in tourism after 2004 due to reforms and investment in infrastructure, rising from 313,368 visitors in 2003 to over 2 million in 2011. The top destinations are Batumi on the Black Sea coast, with its beaches, casinos and conferences facilities, and mountain towns like Bakuriani and Gudauri for skiing.
