- All over the world, there are animals that need our help.
Many of these animals’ populations are so few that they are
classified as endangered. In particular, the Bengal Tiger is one
of these many endangered animals on our planet.
- The goal of this lesson is to create an awareness of
endangered animals around the globe. Students will be
focusing on the Bengal Tiger.
- By integrating technology, students will be exposed to activists
currently helping the tigers and videos and blogs of the Tiger
in its natural habitat.

endangered Bengal Tiger.
• It will also provide information via educational
websites on how to contribute to the
preservation of the Bengal Tiger’s habitat and
lifestyle.

world’s leading big cats activists. Students will be able to
hear him discuss how much work goes into animal
conservation, but also how rewarding it is. Dr. Rabinowitz
supports his finding with stories and photos that

7. Panthera is an organization that supports all “big cats”
in need of help. It is consistently updated with the
latest conservation strategies, research, and the status
of our large, furry friends.

• This project can be modified and adapted to focus on the
Bengal Tiger.

• Language Arts can be incorporated in to the lesson
by expanding upon prior knowledge of nonfiction

• Students choose an endangered animal and conduct

the graphic organizer when they are finished.

educational material, such as live video streaming.
Here, students can learn about many other types of tigers and
big cats as well gaining access to forums, documentary
series, and asking questions to the professional animal care
takers.
