This document provides instructions for using the MasterFILEPremier database to search for articles and generate citations in MLA format. It outlines steps such as accessing the database through the West Virginia Info Depot, performing searches using keywords and quotation marks, viewing abstracts and full text articles, and selecting the "Cite" tool to automatically generate a citation that can be copied and pasted.

1. BISHOP HODGES LIBRARY

2. Go to West Virginia Info Depot
 Click on Magazines and Periodical Databases:
 On the next page, select MasterFILE Premier:

3. Type your keywords into the search box; remember to
check your spelling. Place quotation marks around
names and phrases:
Time saver: hover over the magnifying glass next
to the article title to see the abstract (summary):

4.  Click on either HTML or PDF Full Text to get to the
article:
 In the Tools to the right of the article, select the
“Cite” icon (it looks like a sheet of paper):

5. In the box that pops up, scroll down to MLA and you
may copy and paste the citation:
