Systematic assessment of early symptoms of unspecified dementias in people wi...
Researchers have shown that individuals with mental retardation or with developmental disabilities are at a greater risk of developing health problems and among others dementia than the general population. As the literature points out, dementia is characterized by progressive loss of cognitive functions, until the individual has lost all independency and ability in daily life. It is therefore necessary to carry out a systematic assessment throughout the developmental phases at the beginning of these signs. The purpose of this paper is to present the importance of systematic assessment of early symptoms of unspecified dementias in people with developmental disabilities. The methodology is based on the pre-dementia analysis of two study cases followed by a 2-year period. In conclusion, it can be argued that the diagnosis of dementia in people with developmental disabilities, in the early stages, has become difficult because of the lack of reliable and standardized criteria and diagnostic procedures and difficulties to investigate cognitive decline versus an already vulnerable developmental disability base. Therefore, in people with developmental disabilities, a diagnosis of dementia needs to be done based on changes in mental status from basic functioning. This helps a clinician to determine an accurate diagnosis in later years as hypothetically results from two case studies with later subcortical dementia. However, this endeavour remains to be discussed widely by mental health specialists, public health and cognitive neuroscience in order to determine whether this contribution provided actually has the power of explanation understandable or is understandable by the part of interest.

The journal represent psychology by studying changes in the mind and psychology through exploration of health worsening and quality of life. Gender nonconformity refers to a scenario where individuals exhibit characteristics that are common with the opposite gender. Gender nonconforming persons complain of discrimination from both sides of gender. The study identified everyday stressors facing gender non-conforming persons, which were compared to health-related quality of life (HRQRL) while focusing on young people as respondents.
Research findings revealed that gender nonconformity was directly related to several social problems such as discernment that may lead to the development of mental illnesses. Respondents identified; depression, discomfort, unusual activity, and mobility obstinacy as common problems they go through. The study recommended an aggregated initiative from all social quarters to put up efforts focused awareness on gender nonconformity. In relation to the research question, gender non-conformity on of the reasons why young people are discriminated. To deal with stigma and discernment, aggregated efforts are required to promote awareness and change a social behavior.

Mental health problems are very worldwide among adolescent. This may be due to the truth that attending family members to a difficult time for many traditional and non traditional among adolescent. Adolescent after effecting high school are typically younger, depend on parents for financial support, and do not work or work part time. Thus, in addition to stress related to academic load, these adolescent may have to face the task of taking on more adult like responsibilities lacking having yet mastered the skills and cognitive maturity of adulthood. Stress, life events, past experiences and genetics all play a part in determining our mental health. Student life exposes individuals to risk factors affecting mental health including financial worries, periods of transition, substance use, parental pressure, culture shock and disconnection from previous supports. Descriptive research design and simple random sampling technique was adopted for the study. A sample size of 60 people was collected using planned interviews. i) Background of the practice problem/gap at the project site
One of the primary causes of disability worldwide, depression affects a sizable percentage of the population. Persistent feelings of sadness and guilt, changes in sleeping patterns (insomnia or oversleeping), changes in appetite, decreased mental and physical energy, unusual irritability, inability to enjoy once-enjoyed activities, difficulty working, and thoughts of death or suicide are all symptoms that can be associated with any type of depressive disorder. These "down" symptoms alone may indicate a unipolar depressive disorder like dysthymia or severe depression if they are present. A person may be diagnosed with bipolar illness if they experience alternating spells of depression and euphoria. Adolescents and young adults increasingly have difficulties with their mental health (Poppen et al., 2016). An individual's mental health is something only they can fully comprehend, making it difficult for friends and loved ones to spot warning signs in time to intervene. Juvenile and young adult suicide is a major problem in today's world. A lack of life experiences, self-confidence, and faith in one's own skills contribute to the suicides of many young individuals.
ii) Significance of the practice problem/gap at the project site
Mental illness has been a problem that is affected the population for a long period and worryingly young people and adolescents are experiencing many effects that lead to some committing suicide. The stress that today's youth encounter nowadays is the most significant of all these issues, especially the pressure they receive based on their academic expectations and poor communication about their troubles to their parents. There is also a gap in the schools in terms of students receiving counseling services because there are limited professional counselors that attend to student needs. Despite the fact that psychologists claim stress could be caused by anything, many young people find the rapid pace of modern life to be a significant source of anxiety. Many young individuals are inspired to take their own lives by the media's glorified depiction of suicide (Poppen et al., 2016). Abstract. In a previous study, the Life Satisfaction
Questionnaire (LSQ) was developed especially for
women with breast cancer. The aim of the present
study was to assess the psychometric properties of the
LSQ in a randomized sample of Swedish women and
to compare the perceived quality of life with that of
women su�ering from breast cancer. Another aim was
to relate the result to educational background. A total
of 257 women aged 20±80, randomly selected from the
Swedish population register, answered the LSQ. The
result was compared with that from 362 women aged
27±78 su�ering from breast cancer. The construct
validity was calculated by a principal component
analysis, and the reliability by Cronbach a-coe�-
cients. It was concluded that the LSQ has acceptable
validity and reliability. The result also showed that the
women with breast cancer rated their perceived qual-
ity of life higher than women in general with respect to
the quality of personal relations and the quality of
daily activities, but lower for physical symptoms. In
the comparison with respect to educational back-
ground, women with university education rated their
quality of life higher than women with other types of
education. The testing of the LSQ will continue.

Introduction
The term `quality of life' refers to a person's perceived
quality of her/his physical, psychological, social and
existential functioning [1]. Several instruments have
been developed to measure quality of life in di�erent
groups of people. Some measure quality of life in
general, e.g. the NHP (Nottingham Health Pro®le)
[2], the SIP (Sickness Impact Pro®le) [3], the Swed-
Qual [4], the MOS SF-36 (Medical Outcome Studies
Short Form) [5, 6], and the QLI (Quality of Life In-
dex) by Ferrans and Powers [7]. Others are more
speci®c, for instance, for cancer patients, the QLI
(Quality of Life Index) by Spitzer et al. [8], the FLIC
(Functional Living Index Cancer) [9], the CIPS
(Cancer Inventory of Problem Scale) [10], the
CARES (Cancer Rehabilitation Evaluation System)
[11], the FACT (Functional Assessment of Cancer
Therapy) [12], and the EORTC QLQ-C30 (European
Organisation for Research and Treatment in Cancer,
Quality of Life Questionnaire) [13].
A literature review by Carlsson and Hamrin [14]
showed that the diagnosis of breast cancer evokes
grief, anger and intense fear in women. But the ma-
jority do not experience long-term emotional distress.

Thus, in addition to stress related to academic load, these adolescent may have to face the task of taking on more adult like responsibilities without having yet mastered the skills and cognitive maturity of adulthood. Descriptive research design and simple random sampling technique was adopted for the study. A sample size of 60 was collected using interview scheduled. This study concludes that 58 of the respondents are having good level of mental health, 24 of the respondents are having moderate level of mental health and the remaining 18 of the respondents are having poor level of mental health. The research paper will be any disease or condition of the body. The paper must include a thorough description of the disease/condition; current statistics of those affected - epidemiology; financial costs both terms of treatment and loss of productivity; explanations on how the various body systems (anatomically and/or physiologically) are affected; etiology; medications/treatments that are available; prognosis of those affected, and future outlook in general.

Abstract
In recent a post, oppositional disorder diseases has been on the rise, raising questions about the manner in which diseases is spreading especially among children. The high prevalence levels of the oppositional disorder have raised more concerns especially form the health, sectors thus developing the need to understand the disorder better. This research paper will, therefore, encompass a broad perspective of oppositional disorder disease to effectively understand how it is manifested, various ways in which it manifests itself to develop preventive strategy much earlier before the situation reaches full-blown.
Unlike the common conduct disorder where the patient is more aggressive towards people and animals, the oppositional disorder is more silent, and it takes time for it to be detected. The lifetime prevalence of the disease is estimated to be 10.2%. The disease is mostly observed in children and adolescents across the globe.
Some of the common symptoms of the disease involve a certain behavior where children’s behavior is much different compared to their peers. A patient suffering from oppositional disorder tends to have a turn in their behavior including regular loose of temper, being angry and resentful, argues with authorities without any significant reason. It is importance to note that the persistence and frequency of these behaviors should be used to differentiate between normal behavior and symptoms of the oppositional disorder. The disease causes a massive effect on patient’s mental and physical wellbeing.
The most common cause of the oppositional disorder is the genetic influence. Research has shown that parents tend to pass on expressing disorder to their children, and it may be displayed in multiple ways. The disease can be easily diagnosed basing on the extent at which the change of behavior causes distress to the family members or drastic changes in academic and social functioning. These behaviors must persist.
