This document outlines a marking rubric for Assignment 1. It evaluates students on two parts for two articles. For each part, it assesses ideas, organization, sentence structure, word choice, and errors. Students can earn between 0-5 points for each part based on criteria like showing understanding of theories, consistency and originality of ideas, organization from beginning to end, sentence flow, word sophistication, and error amount. The goal is for students to extract relevant information from texts.
