Introduction
3. Social Media & Email
• One of my regular duties at DTZ was to gather information
from Kantar Media about articles DTZ had been
mentioned in, compose a brief overview and send an
email out to all members of staff informing them of the
media coverage DTZ had gotten that week.
• I regularly interacted with the DTZ Twitter account &
Sherry FitzGerald Facebook account. Hootsuite was the
platform used to monitor all interactions and responses.
5. Response to the Rowan Tree post
“I have fond memories of going in with my
pocket money on a Friday .and getting a
quarter of Apple drops and fizzle sticks
and maybe some fruit salads lol that was
a great shop back in the days“.
“Will always be the Rowan Tree to me.. I
remember going to get milk & bread for my
Mum in the "big snow" in the 80's , was the
only shop that was open..Ahh brings it all back
& thanks for sharing”
”I have fond memories of my Dad
stopping off at The Rowan Tree on my way
to school to buy stuff for my lunch when I
was running too late to make lunch.
Coincidentally this happened a lot, I
wonder why! #Sweetsforlunch”
6. ELM PARK
Elm Park is a multi-million urban campus located on Merrion
Row in Dublin 4. Whilst at DTZ I contributed to various
elements of the marketing strategy for this project. On more
than one occasion I visited the site with suppliers such as IQ
signage & photographer Gareth Byrne. I voiced my thoughts
and recommendations for the website in meetings with
designer Michael Furlong. I also collaborated with MACE
marketing in determining specific elements of the brochure.
9. Black & White Portfolio
Over a two day period I worked with photographer Neil Warner to
shot over 20 properties for the Black & White portfolio project. This
project involved shooting properties scattered all over Dublin.
Properties as far North as Clontarf & Sutton were shot and as far
South as Dundrum & Rathfarnham. This assignment required a lot
of preparation in order to get it done in a efficient and timely
manner. I mapped out all the properties and pre- determined a
route which allowed us to complete the project in just 2 days.
10. Words from Neil Warner
Dear Shona
Just a quick note to thank you for
your considerable help yesterday.
Over the period of a few hours we
were able to photograph in a very
efficient manner I great number of
properties.
I have no doubt that this was
entirely due to the work that you
put into the project prior to our
feet on the ground.
At one stage you said you" like to
be organised". This is very
evident.
The work you put in to the project
was efficient, systematic and
effective.
Thank you so much for your help.
Kind regards
Neil
12. Tallaght Cross West
I took part in the Tallaght Cross West pitch. I
assisted in a site visit in which I took
photographs of the site . As well as this I was
present and assisted in the making of a video
based on the site which featured experts from
DTZ and their professional opinions on Tallaght
Cross West.

20. The Purpose
On the 16th of June the Berkeley balcony
collapse took 6 young Irish lives and
injured 7 others. A good friend of mine
Clodagh Cogley was among those
injured. Myself and seven others came
together to brainstorm how we could
come together and help. This
presentation documents my contribution
to the Berkeley Fundraiser event

22. #BerkeleyFund - Celebrity
Endorsement
As well as the bands who were set to play we also
received tremndous amount of support on social media
from Irish celebrities such as Jason Byrne & Chris O
Dowd.
On the day of the event Kodaline and Eoghan McDermot
announced their attendance to the event which sparked
a huge amount of activity online. The Berkeley Fund
account achieved almost 2,000 followers in just under
25. On Tuesday the 14th of May I organised a
promotional video to be shot with three acts
participating in the Berkeley Fundraiser Event
– Mundy, Hereos in Hiding & Daft Funk. I
single handily organised this shoot in just over
24hours.
UTV Ireland were present to catch the action! UTV Ireland
caught the shoot from start to finish and conducted
interviews with both the acts and organisers. Currently the
video has been viewed over 788 times.
28. UCDSU were a fantastic help and sponsored an IPad
Air 2 for the raffle which was a huge success. The
President and communications officer also made an
appearance on the night. I am now in talks with
Marcus O Halloran the SU President and intend to
work together to create an annual fundraiser in
memory of the Berkeley Tragedy.
29. On the 23rd of July I did a live interview
on the Anton savage show which
lasted just over 6 minutes. The
interview focused on the purpose of
the event and all those who would be
playing.
“ Shona said they have been overwhelmed with
the response from musicians and people who all
donated their time for free”
People have been great. Everyone has been so
willing to help”
31. “Shona, who is about to graduate from studying
Commerce in UCD, was one of two UCD students
in the group that organised the event following a
brainwave by one of the group just three weeks
ago.
Shona and the group are friends with TCD
student Clodagh Cogley, who is still recovering in
San Francisco after the accident. Clodagh is said
to have been “delighted” and “very impressed”
with the event, and was in touch with some of
the group over the course of the evening.
Mundy, Kodaline and Daft Funk were among the
performers at the packed out event, which was
hosted by Nicky Byrne across the three rooms at
the Academy. The venue and the acts all put
forward their services for free for the fundraiser,
which was to raise funds for medical expenses for
the survivors of the accident.
Shona will return to UCD in September to study
for a Masters in Digital Marketing in Smurfitt
Business School.”
