This is the most valuable and hardest but fun project to do and you get to get more than one grade for doing something that you may accomplish on your own.When i first i got this project i was unable to think what should i do,should i just not do it or turn it in late.But that day i realized something just because your thoughts get to you,that doesn't mean you have to follow them.If you know you have a not to pleasant grade then you should be doing everything in your power to bring it up.The reason why i chose to do this power point was to be more creative and do more research.So this goes out to all the people who have used this app for a big project.Just be sure to follow me.

De meeste ongevallen met koninklijke wagens vallen doorgaans mee . Maar 14 september 1962 is een echte onheilsdag.
Die dag bestuurt ‘koninklijke chauffeur’ André Piens de koninklijke wagen. Achterin zitten een piepjonge Filip en Astrid. Kindermeisje ‘nurse’ Bernadette Deswaef reist uiteraard mee.
De chauffeur rijdt van Massa naar Firenze in Italië. In Migliarino Pisano bij Pisa gaat het mis. Piens rijdt een Italiaanse voetganger dood. De man heet Italo Demarie en is een plaatselijke bejaarde landbouwer.
In de koninklijke wagen breekt er paniek uit. Filip is zelfs licht gewond aan de knie. Maar de tocht wordt onverwijld verdergezet met een huurwagen.
In het voorjaar van 1965 wordt de zaak voor de rechtbank van Pisa gebracht. Piens wordt er verdedigd door Angelo Adorni Braccesi, voorzitter van de Automobil Club van Pisa. ‘Royal chauffeur on manslaughter charge’ moeten we in de buitenlandse kranten zoals de Evening Times van 3 maart 1965 lezen.
In ons land wordt maar zuinigjes bericht over deze onverkwikkelijke zaak.
Voor de rechtbank staan de twee partijen lijnrecht tegenover elkaar. Volgens de advocaat van de familie van de overleden man reed de hofwagen veel te snel. Braccesi argumenteert dat de Italiaanse boer onvoorzichtig is geweest bij het oversteken van de weg. Uiteraard verliest de Italiaanse familie deze zaak. Kan de rechter wel een objectief vonnis vellen?
Piens blijft chauffeur van de prinsen van Luik. Vreemd genoeg is Piens nog geen jaar na het Italiaanse ongeval opnieuw betrokken bij een zwaar verkeersongeval. Hierover werd bij ons zelfs nooit bericht. Midden mei 1963 vervoert Piens prinses Paola. Op weg van Parijs naar Brussel moet hij brutaal het stuur omgooien om een frontale botsing met een ander voertuig te vermijden. De prinses loopt lichte verwondingen aan het gelaat op. Ze heeft ook een ‘zenuwschok’.
Op basis van een bericht in de Nederlandse krant Provinciale Zeeuwse Courant uit die periode kunnen we precies aangeven waar én wanneer dit ongeluk plaatsvond. Dat was op dinsdagochtend 14 mei 1963. Het ongeval vond plaats in de buurt van Maubeuge. Deze stad ligt in het departement Nord-Pas-de-Calais, net aan de Belgische grens.
De vaststelling dat het ongeval in de ochtend plaatsvond, roept bedenkingen op bij de stelling van auteur Mario Danneels dat de prinses in Parijs boodschappen deed. Indien dat laatste het geval was, is het waarschijnlijker dat ze in de namiddag zou terugkeren.
Vraag is dan wat ze wel in Parijs deed. Zou het kunnen dat ze in de Franse hoofdstad de nacht bij een minnaar doorbracht en in de ochtend werd opgehaald door haar chauffeur? Het zou in elk geval kunnen verklaren waarom het Paleis zo geheimzinnig blijft doen over dit ongeval.
In elk geval wordt Paola in Maubeuge voor de eerste zorgen in het plaatselijke ziekenhuis binnengebracht en nadien opgehaald door Albert.
