Manga is treated as both childish but also a great part of Japanese culture. While some see it as "moe-kei" or focusing too much on cute characters, manga like Dragon Ball have been hugely popular worldwide, selling over 1.1 billion copies in over 40 countries and introducing Japanese culture to much of the world. Manga blends images and text to tell stories in a unique way, and despite being dismissed by some as childish, manga has earned a place as a noble art form and major cultural export of Japan.
