• Evaluation of computerized health management information system for
primary health care in rural India
A study conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences
(AIIMS) in the Comprehensive Rural Health Services Project
Ballabgarh, using a computerized Health Management
Information System (HMIS) since 1988, reveals that over 95% data
accuracy and significant time savings for health workers support
the system's efficacy. The results demonstrate successful cost
recovery within two years of implementation, emphasizing the
HMIS's positive impact on rural health management in India
