Course Overview
The course aims to prepare teacher trainers working on Trinity TESOL Certificate courses, but the skills
can be applied to other training scenarios (e.g. CELTA courses, teacher development courses and
workshops). The content is hands
training situations.
Course Structure
Pre course task: On – line
The pre-courses task involves 2 separates tasks. The first to get you familiar with the cours
the Trinity TESOL Certificate. The second is a reflective task on why you will make a good teacher
trainer.
Week 1: Face – to – face
A week is spent shadowing tutors in teaching practice and input sessions on the Trinity TESOL course. It
also involves giving a model lesson observed by trainees, assisting in trainees’ lesson planning, leading
an input session, and observing and giving feedback.
Week 2: On – line
There are 3 tasks submitted at the end of the week: The Trainer Journal, Traine
and Project Marking. Support is provided one the VLE by a tutor.
