Mahe Drysdale is a New Zealand rower born in 1978 who is 33 years old. He lives in Auckland and has won medals for New Zealand in rowing at multiple Olympics and World Championships, including gold medals in the single sculls at the 2012 London Olympics and various World Championships between 2005-2011. He suffered from illness at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and won bronze but recovered to win gold at the 2012 London Games despite being ill on the day of the race. His coach is Richard Tonks of New Zealand.
