Madison welcomes the student to Wayne State University and encourages them to register for the First Year Success Seminar course. She shares that through the course, she learned effective study strategies, time management skills, and how to utilize campus resources which helped her succeed in her freshman year classes. The 1 credit seminar serves as a guide for students transitioning to college and covers discussions on common difficulties experienced in the first year along with peer support. There are four sections being offered for the fall semester and students are advised to register early as the classes will fill quickly.
