Louis Prima was an American singer, actor, and bandleader known for his energetic big band jazz style. He got his start in the 1920s playing in New Orleans jazz bands and later led his own band, known as the Witnesses, which had huge popularity in the 1950s and 1960s performing in Las Vegas. Some of his most famous songs included "Sing, Sing, Sing," "Jump, Jive an' Wail," and collaborations with singer Keely Smith who was his vocal partner and wife during their time as headliners in Las Vegas.
