5. Article received from Departure Room/Public area
to be deposited at HK Department
The article can be returned to the guest if you are
certain that it belongs to the concerned person (in
case if its not valuable)
Inform executive or supervisor about the article
Enter the details in the lost and found register and
slip
6. Article classified based on the value
Very valuable- jewellery, currency ,camera etc..
Valuable- clothes & shoes in good condition
Non valuable – any article probably discarded by
the guest
Perishable - eatables
7. For very valuable & valuable articles the receipt is
made in 3 copies
White – attached with article
Pink – security copy
Yellow – Book copy
8. All articles must be kept in lost and found
cupboard before leaving for the day
The items found during evening and night shift
should be entered in the register and kept in
EHK’s cabin.
In the morning its kept in L & F cupboard
Very valuable articles are handed over to EHK
and stored in safe deposit box.
the same is informed to GM / or duty manager in
the night shift
In case of very valuable articles, a letter is sent to
the guest or contacted through telephone.

10. Disposal of Article not claimed
If not claimed by the guest , the articles are given
to the finder after the prescribed time period
Very valuable- 1 year
Valuable- 3 months
Non valuable – 1 month
Perishable – 1 to 3 days
11. Receive the found article at the control desk
