A start-up senior legal staff role, reporting to the Country General Counsel managing corporate records,
contracts,litigation and claim matters.
• Primary contact for internal and external clients for legal department;
• Reviewing new legal matters,negotiating with third parties, resolving disputes, drafting legal documents;
• Providing advice and guidance on both routine and non-routine matters to senior team members,
management and clients;
• Establishing/maintaining legal department filing system and contract database;
• Working with Country Counsel and Senior Management to develop policies and procedures and to
implement process improvements.
Management of Corporate Records
• Maintaining corporate minute books for DHL’s legal entities including; preparing various resolutions,

registrations;

Contract Management
• Drafting/reviewing/revising commercial contracts and various other agreements,ensuring compliance
with DHL’s insurance/contract policies and interpretation of contract provisions;
• Drafting/negotiating lease agreements, renewals,amendments, estoppel certificates, non-disturbance
agreements and related documents including tracking of expiry/termination and renewaldates;

• Acting as a liaison between the Legal Department,internal clients including senior management and risk
management as well as outside counsel, where required, to finalize contracts and agreements.
Litigation and Claim Management
• Analyzing legal documents, investigating facts and allegations, performing legal and factual research as
well as assisting with discovery, addressing insurance issues and trial preparation;
• Ongoing liaise with business management, insurance adjusters, claimants and legal counsel from
inception to closure of each matter including claim investigation, defense and management briefing;
