6. Rajmachi Fort
• Rajmachi Fort (Killa) is one of the many historical forts in the
rugged hills of Sahyadri mountains (Western Ghats).[1]
• It consists of two twin
fortresses Shriwardhan and Manaranjan, with a wide machi
(plateau) surrounding the two Balekillas.
• Udhewadi is a small village of about 60 households situated
on the machi, at the southern foot of Manaranjan Balekilla of
Rajmachi Fort.
7. Tiger Point
➢ It offers a panoramic view of the lush green valleys,
misty hills, and small waterfalls, making it a
photographer's paradise.
8. Karla caves
➢ The Karla Caves, The group at Karla is one of the older and
smaller of the many rock-cut Buddhist sites in
Maharashtra, but is one of the best-known because of the
famous "Grand Chaitya" (Cave 8), which is the largest and
most completely preserved" chaitya hall of the period, as
well as containing unusual quantities of fine sculpture,
much of it on a large scale.
9. Lion Point
➢ This is one of the most famous view point of Lonavala hill
station which is located @ 10 km away from City and
besides which one can see tigers point also. both are very
nearby to each other. This spot is mid-way between Bhushi
Dam and Aamby Valley. View from Lions point is very good
panoramic and majestic.
10. Duke Nose
➢ Duke's Nose is named after the Duke of Wellington, owing
to its resemblance to the nose of Duke in a reclining
position. The cliff is pointed like a snakes hood and hence
the name Nagphani. The high altitude of this place makes
