Small changes like turning off unused appliances when not in use can save a household around $200 per year in energy costs. Many apps have been created to help users monitor their energy usage and savings, but most are lacking. LOLO was created with a goal-directed design process involving user research, modeling, and requirements definition to address the shortcomings of other apps and help users effectively save energy and money.
