Logarithms

This document discusses changing the base of logarithms and where the number three comes from when comparing log base-2 to log base-10. Log base-2 is approximately three times as large as log base-10 because for most numbers, base-2 logarithms will be about three times larger than their base-10 logarithms due to the relative sizes of the bases.
