Location aware services (LAS) use positioning techniques like enhanced observed time difference to provide value-added services to users based on their location, including emergency services and productivity/security applications. While LAS has proven successful business models overseas, issues with technology and infrastructure need to be improved for LAS to reach its full potential. Going forward, LAS roadmaps will focus on expanding its use across various industries like education, healthcare, manufacturing and more.
