This document advertises an unconventional afterschool art class called "Off the Wall" held at Cassidy Elementary on Thursdays from October 24th to December 5th from 3:15-4:15 PM for students in 3rd through 5th grade. The six-week class costs $80 but is discounted to $70 for members of the Living Arts and Science Center (LASC) and will incorporate unusual materials like chewing gum and body parts to create odd sculptures and paintings. The class is limited to 15 students and will take place in the art room; parents must pick students up by 4:15 PM and transportation is their responsibility. In this six-week class we will celebrate all things odd and unusual.
Want to tattoo a banana or make an ooey-gooey sculpture out of
chewing gum? Want to try painting with your toes or the tip of your
nose? We’ll use a wide range of materials to make abnormal art, and
include time to tinker with your own wild and wacky ideas. Be sure to
dress for a mess! Class price includes all materials and your very own
art apron!
Details:
LASC afterschool classes will take place in Ms. Gilpin’s art room. Please remind children about the class on each scheduled date.
If school is not in session, make-up classes will be scheduled.
Parents and guardians are responsible for transportation arrangements. Plan to arrive at the art room promptly by 4:15 to pick-up your children, with ID.
LASC teachers are not available for after-class care.
Classes are limited to 15 students. Registration is offered on a first-come first-served basis.
