Listening Tips
Ask everyone to pay attention and to do what you TELL then to do. Then
make a circle with the thumb and finger of your right hand, leaving the
other fingers extended ( the OK sign). SAY "Place your right hand on your
chin." and at the same time PUT the circle part of your right hand against
your cheek. As soon as people respond, tell them to freeze and note where
their hand is. In my experience, more people will respond to the visual
cue and put their hand against their cheek. Those who follow the verbal
instructions will be allowed to gloat briefly. You can then briefly
discuss verbal dominance versus visual dominance. For a bonus point, you
can mention (while they still have their hands on their faces) that if
they really like the feel of their hand on their face, that they are
kinesthetic (tactile)learners.

Stand stretch your hands all the way up above your head, towards the
ceiling. Stretch.
Stretch and wiggle your fingers, excellent, now when your bring you hands
Down clasp your hand together. Look at every ones hands.
If your left thumb is on top: you are a left brain or logical thinker.
If your right thumb is on top: you are a right brain or creative thinker.
If both hands have the thumb equal: you use both sides of your brain
equally!
