Why Your Digital Transformation Strategy Demands Middleware ModernizationVMware Tanzu
Your current middleware platform is costing you more than you think. It wasn't designed to support high-velocity software releases and frequent iteration of applications—prerequisites for success in today’s world. A new, modern approach to middleware is needed that enables both developer productivity and operational efficiency.
Join Pivotal’s Rohit Kelapure and Perficient’s Joel Thimsen as they discuss:
- The limitations of traditional middleware
- The benefits of middleware modernization
- Your options for modernization, including a cloud-native platform
- Tips for overcoming some common challenges
Presenters: Rohit Kelapure, Pivotal, Joel Thimsen, Perficient & Jeff Kelly, Pivotal (Host)
The document discusses the shift towards cloud native application development. Some key points discussed include:
1. Cloud native originated in customer-facing tech companies and emphasizes building applications in, for, and maximizing the benefits of the cloud.
2. When developing new applications, organizations should focus on functional and non-functional requirements to determine the appropriate architecture, runtime environment, and degree of "cloudiness".
3. Cloud native development requires learning new topics like microservices, DevOps, serverless computing, and distributed systems.

For our next ArcReady, we will explore a topic on everyone’s mind: Cloud computing. Several industry companies have announced cloud computing services . In October 2008 at the Professional Developers Conference, Microsoft announced the next phase of our Software + Services vision: the Azure Services Platform. The Azure Services Platforms provides a wide range of internet services that can be consumed from both on premises environments or the internet.
Session 1: Cloud Services
In our first session we will explore the current state of cloud services. We will then look at how applications should be architected for the cloud and explore a reference application deployed on Windows Azure. We will also look at the services that can be built for on premise application, using .NET Services. We will also address some of the concerns that enterprises have about cloud services, such as regulatory and compliance issues.
Session 2: The Azure Platform
In our second session we will take a slightly different look at cloud based services by exploring Live Mesh and Live Services. Live Mesh is a data synchronization client that has a rich API to build applications on. Live services are a collection of APIs that can be used to create rich applications for your customers. Live Services are based on internet standard protocols and data formats.

A database is used to store and manage structured & unstructured data in a system. Read the blog to know 2023's top seven databases for web applications.
Selecting one of the best Mobile App development frameworks is a confusing task for any organization. Also, technology is a big point to consider, if you plan to build a solid and viable mobile product stack. Xamarin and React Native are two major developmental areas that need to be considered in advance.
React.js is a JavaScript library for building user interfaces, used by Facebook and Instagram. It uses a virtual DOM for high performance. Node.js is a JavaScript runtime for building server-side applications and APIs. It allows JavaScript to execute on the server. Both are commonly used together, with React for the front-end and Node for the back-end. React is well-suited for applications with changing states, while Node is better for data-intensive server-side applications like streaming platforms.

In the rapidly evolving landscape of technologies, XML continues to play a vital role in structuring, storing, and transporting data across diverse systems. The recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) present new methodologies for enhancing XML development workflows, introducing efficiency, automation, and intelligent capabilities. This presentation will outline the scope and perspective of utilizing AI in XML development. The potential benefits and the possible pitfalls will be highlighted, providing a balanced view of the subject.
We will explore the capabilities of AI in understanding XML markup languages and autonomously creating structured XML content. Additionally, we will examine the capacity of AI to enrich plain text with appropriate XML markup. Practical examples and methodological guidelines will be provided to elucidate how AI can be effectively prompted to interpret and generate accurate XML markup.
Further emphasis will be placed on the role of AI in developing XSLT, or schemas such as XSD and Schematron. We will address the techniques and strategies adopted to create prompts for generating code, explaining code, or refactoring the code, and the results achieved.
The discussion will extend to how AI can be used to transform XML content. In particular, the focus will be on the use of AI XPath extension functions in XSLT, Schematron, Schematron Quick Fixes, or for XML content refactoring.
The presentation aims to deliver a comprehensive overview of AI usage in XML development, providing attendees with the necessary knowledge to make informed decisions. Whether you’re at the early stages of adopting AI or considering integrating it in advanced XML development, this presentation will cover all levels of expertise.
By highlighting the potential advantages and challenges of integrating AI with XML development tools and languages, the presentation seeks to inspire thoughtful conversation around the future of XML development. We’ll not only delve into the technical aspects of AI-powered XML development but also discuss practical implications and possible future directions.
