To Whom it may concern:
I am writing you to inquire about your Paralegal job opening. I am very interested in this
position. I believe that I would be ideal for this job as I finished my legal studies minor and
gained my Paralegal certificate from Illinois State University in May of this year. I have done
seasonal work for three different law offices throughout my high school and college years, where
I learned basic legal secretarial skills such as typing legal documents, assisting attorneys, and
gaining valuable phone experience while dealing with clients. I also completed one high school
law office internship and one college internship for the Law Office of Luke P. Taylor, P.C.
Through those internships, I learned more about what it takes to be a paralegal and had the
opportunity to witness the practice of several different areas of law, including family, criminal,
estate, and traffic.
I believe that I would make a good paralegal for this position because I have good organizational
and people skills and am good at writing and researching in the legal field. I also am driven to do
my best at a job and am willing to learn new things. In my past experiences, I have shown that I
am able to work on my own as well as in a group setting to accomplish goals in a set amount of
time.
I would appreciate if you would consider interviewing me for this position. I look forward to
hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Kristina L. Duval
