Needs Your New or Gently Used Shoes By June 9
FORT WORTH, Texas (June 7, 2012) – State Farm Agent and Shoe Queen Linda Allen loves shoes as
much as any true fashionista, but what has her smiling right now is the number of shoes Saginaw and
Lake Worth residents have donated to her firm’s collection drive for Soles 4 Souls, a charity dedicated
the needy get back on their feet by giving them shoes.
Linda and her team started the shoe drive on May 1 and are running it until June 9, 2012, so there is still
time to free up some space on your shoe rack and do a good deed.
To participate, bring shoes to the Linda Allen State Farm Agency at 8101 Boat Club Road, Suite 240, in
Fort Worth between the hours of 9-5. The shoes should be new or gently used and can be men’s,
women’s or children’s in any size or style.
“We have had a steller response to the shoe drive so far,” said Allen, noting that the Lake Worth High
School Chapter of the Family, Career and Communuty Leaders of America donated 300 pairs.
“Lots of people have seen our signs or read about the shoe drive on our insurance agency’s Facebook
page and come by to donate,” said Allen. “We’re especially looking for children’s shoes, but welcome
any that anyone is willing to give.”
Linda Allen is the author of “Out with Customer Service, In with People Service,” a guide to applying
service principles to both business and personal relationships. Her State Farm Agency sponsors an
annual school bag giveaway and awards an annual college scholarship to a deserving high school senior
from a single-parent home.
