The lockbox process allows companies to speed up the receipt of customer payments by having banks deposit checks directly into lockbox accounts. Banks then send electronic files to the company listing deposits against invoices. The company uploads these files in SAP to clear customer accounts and update balances. Companies may set up single or multiple lockboxes for improved processing time. SAP supports standard BAI and BAI2 lockbox file formats, requiring configuration to banks' formats. Lockbox configuration in SAP includes defining house banks, posting rules, and linking to the customer master for application of payments.
This document outlines the steps to configure the lockbox process in SAP, including:
1) Defining house banks and lockbox accounts for a house bank.
2) Setting control parameters and posting data for lockboxes.
3) Preparing a sample lockbox file for testing with an invoice for $400.
4) Executing transactions FLB2 and FLB1 to test the lockbox configuration.
The document discusses lockbox processing, which is a cash management service provided by banks to corporate customers. It involves banks collecting and depositing check payments that customers mail in, along with remittance documents. The key benefits of lockbox processing are faster access to funds, more timely receivables information, and reduced processing costs through automation. Examples are provided of how major banks have implemented successful lockbox solutions for corporate clients.

The article discusses a new House bill that aims to ease tax reporting requirements for retailers related to credit card purchases. Specifically, the bill would overturn a proposed IRS regulation that would require merchants to reconcile their own sales figures with the figures reported by their payment processors on IRS Form 1099-K. Supporters of the bill argue this reconciliation would be burdensome and costly for small businesses that may not have the accounting capabilities or resources to perform the reconciliation. They are also concerned it could lead to a wave of calls from confused merchants to their payment processors. The bill has been referred to the Ways and Means Committee, and a similar bill is expected to be introduced in the Senate.

Combined Illegal, Unregulated and Unreported (IUU) Vessel List.Christina Parmionova
The best available, up-to-date information on all fishing and related vessels that appear on the illegal, unregulated, and unreported (IUU) fishing vessel lists published by Regional Fisheries Management Organisations (RFMOs) and related organisations. The aim of the site is to improve the effectiveness of the original IUU lists as a tool for a wide variety of stakeholders to better understand and combat illegal fishing and broader fisheries crime.
To date, the following regional organisations maintain or share lists of vessels that have been found to carry out or support IUU fishing within their own or adjacent convention areas and/or species of competence:
Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR)
Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna (CCSBT)
General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM)
Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission (IATTC)
International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT)
Indian Ocean Tuna Commission (IOTC)
Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organisation (NAFO)
North East Atlantic Fisheries Commission (NEAFC)
North Pacific Fisheries Commission (NPFC)
South East Atlantic Fisheries Organisation (SEAFO)
South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organisation (SPRFMO)
Southern Indian Ocean Fisheries Agreement (SIOFA)
Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC)
The Combined IUU Fishing Vessel List merges all these sources into one list that provides a single reference point to identify whether a vessel is currently IUU listed. Vessels that have been IUU listed in the past and subsequently delisted (for example because of a change in ownership, or because the vessel is no longer in service) are also retained on the site, so that the site contains a full historic record of IUU listed fishing vessels.
Unlike the IUU lists published on individual RFMO websites, which may update vessel details infrequently or not at all, the Combined IUU Fishing Vessel List is kept up to date with the best available information regarding changes to vessel identity, flag state, ownership, location, and operations.
