period at the University of Toronto, Canada.
I became acquainted with Mr. Visser in 2013 as one of the students in my tutorial for the course
Media History. He immediately impressed me with his intelligent wit, contributions to class
and overall commitment and work ethic. Apart from being a highly enthusiastic and sociable
student, he showed a strong ability to develop and conduct a (historical) media research on his
own. At the same time he was always looking for feedback and willing to revise or refine his
research work based on that feedback. The assignments produced by him were, without excep-
tion, of high quality.
Considering the above, I have no doubt that Mr. Visser will do extremely well as an exchange
