Thanks to all the wonderful ESL teachers helping me out last week, I will be
finishing up the WIDA testing tomorrow. It hasn’t been easy, but the South teachers
have been really accommodating.
Deana and I have been working on revising my schedule. As my mentor, she shared
that most ESL teachers, after Access testing, adjust their ESL services to better
accommodate their students and any newcomers.
Presently I have 22 students and after vacation I will add 2 students (Sadin, gr 1 and
her sister, Salma, gr 3).
It would be beneficial to have additional ESL staff at South. Please let me know if you
would like any further data.
