workingalongside Kelli atWPCServicesforthe lastfive yearswhere Ihave seenhergrownintoa strong
leader,role model,friendlyco-worker,andfine younglady.
I firstmetKelli whenIwascoachingheron a competitive cheerteamthathad five hoursof practice a
week andtraveledtocompetitions. She wasthe mostrespectful of the group,knowingimmediatelyshe
had bigplansfor the future. Thistraininghelpedhertoachieve apositionasthe only sophomore onthe
Varsitycheerteamat SpringHill HighSchool. Duringherhighschool and college years,she represented
a varietyof groupsthat wouldmoldherintowhatshe istoday. These events ledhertome,where I
handselectedhertoworkin a highlyrespectedpositionatourcompany.
While travelingto sportingeventsrepresentingherschool,she servedSpringHill HighSchool on the
Leaders’Core. Thissmall handselectedgrouponlyconsistedof about20 highschoolersthatwere to
representthe school andmentoryoungermiddle school agedkidsthathad financially challenginghome
lives. Kelli helpedmentorthroughtutoringandcounseling,dedicatingmuchof hertime encouraging
thembefore andafterschool. Anotherpartof herongoingworkwithLeadersCore wasto fundraise
moneyforthe SpringHill Splash Padwhichisnow one of the top parks inthe Cityof Longview.
Kelli’sacademicsare muchimpressive,landingheraspotinthe National HonorSocietyandthe Chess
and CheckersClub. Tomaintainherposition,she volunteeredinlocal low income park areaswhile also
keepingherGPA above a3.6. She also wenton to compete inUIL businesscomputerapplicationsand
wonat the regional competition atLetourneauUniversity! Herexpertise incomputerapplications has
much giftedherinherpositionatWPC Services.
Kelli hasdedicateduncountedhourswithvolunteeringthroughoutthe community. She wasa bigpart
of the Ambucsmudvolleyball fundraiser,refereeingforthe tournamentthree yearsinarow. She also
volunteeredatthe Humane Societyof NortheastTexas,socializingandbathinganimals,helpingplace
themfor adoption. Asa memberof the StudentCouncil,she participatedinRelayforLife,National
CleanUp Day, and servedthe LongviewChildDevelopmentCenter.

2. Withall the challengesof beingasuccessful highschool student,and manyhours of volunteerism, Kelli
still haddeterminationtodomuchmore. She wasselectedaspresidentof the YoungBusiness
Association. She ledthe associationwithabusinessplanthatwaspresentedbeforea local bankto open
a coffee shopat the highschool. The coffee shop gave jobsandopportunitiesformanyhighschool
studentsthatwere strugglingfinanciallyathome.Thisendeavorshowsthe entrepreneurshipand
motivation many youngadultsdonothave. Duringthistime,she alsoworkedatDiagnosticClinicof
Longviewfor2 yearsclockingthirtyhoursa weekduringthe school yearandfull time inthe summers.
Kelli startedatWPCServices asan entrylevel position,doingbasicdutiessuchasfiling,dataentry,and
runningerrands. Eventhoughthese tasksare still importanttoanycompany,she quicklyshowedme
that she neededachallenge andiscapable of muchmore than I gave her. She quicklylearnedour
accountingsoftware,learningtopull reportsformonthlysalestax payments,balancingall of our
checkingaccounts,followingthroughwith bill pay,andstayingontopof our customersonce a month
withstatementsandfriendlyremindersof pastdues. Withhercollege degree,she understands
accountingverywell,allowinghertocode data entrywithoutbeingtold. Thisisjusta small portionof
the numeroustasksthat she has. I trust her confidentialitywithinourcompany. She hasaccessto and
seesall of our businessactivities,making heravaluable asset. She now,notonlyworksforme,the
office manager,butworksasan assistanttothe operationsmanagers. She takescare of the daily
incomingjobsthroughtasksoftware andorganizesshippingandreceiving. She helpsupdate and
maintainall of our OSHA requirements. She meetsdailywithourowner,goingoverreportsand
updatinghimonongoingbusiness. Andasanaddedbonus,she alsomaintainsanddirectsall of our
incomingcallstothe appropriate departmentandwelcomesandassistsourdailycustomersasthey
come in to pay or place orders.
