This document outlines the key steps of a lesson plan framework focused on assessment for learning (AfL). The framework involves eliciting what students already know, engaging their interest, allowing first-hand experiences to build concepts, providing teacher explanation to formalize concepts, demonstrating learning, student self-reflection and assessment, and extending learning to new concepts. Literacy, ICT, numeracy and resources are also noted as important components.
