Social networks are social structures comprised of relationships between individuals, groups, organizations, and other social units. Social networks can be analyzed at different scales, including the micro, meso, and macro levels. At the micro level, social networks start small with individuals interacting in conversations. The meso level includes social organizations and communities that aim to reorient individuals to societal norms. Social networks are self-organizing and complex, defined by the patterns of interaction between their members.

The social network is a theoretical construct
used to study relationships between individuals,
groups, organizations, and varied social units in
the society. There are relationships and
interaction taking place within the network. The
social network has followed certain patterns to
understand the structure which implies local and
global patterns and the dynamics of the
networks.

NETWORKS ARE CATEGORIZED:
1. MICRO LEVEL
- At the micro-level, social network begins
with an individual, snowballing as it begins
with a small group of individuals interacting
with one another. It involves small- scale
interaction that takes place between
individuals like what happens in conversation
and interactions.

7. 2. MESO LEVEL
- Meso-level includes social organizations and communities of correction.
They comprise the middle level of control as the deviants are confines to them
until they can start to comply with the bigger society’s norms and expectation.
