Spiders hunt prey such as insects using their webs which they spin in a spiral shape out of thin strands. They are able to reel in any prey that gets caught in their web which is not very deep, allowing the spider to easily capture anything ensnared. Spiders live solitary lives rather than in social groups like some other animals.
