• Production system can be defined as purposeful means for accomplishing their objective. this is the
system which is always influenced by other systems in organisation. to reach the organisation goal all
other sub systems of an organisation should be interrelated and interdependent.
• It is closely related with both Internal and external components. Internal components are explained
below:
• Finance: Finance is the primary function of organisation. It is closely connected with Production and
operation management. It provide adequate financial support.
• Marketing: marketing is the core functional area of organisation. it discover and develops new
products or services as per the desire of the customer. It has responsibility to retain the customer and
make them brand loyal.
• Engineering: Technically support to the production process like giving some ideas about
advertisements and publicity development.
• Research and development: It helps to innovate the new production process with the help of
customer suggestions.
• External Components are Political, Legal, Socio-Economic, Demographic, Technical, competitors etc.,
