Leavitt's Diamond
Leavitt’s Diamond is a model that is one of the critical success factors models. It is used in change management. It was designed
by Harold J. Leavitt in 1973. The key success factors according to him include:
Structure
Managerial tasks
People
Technology
According to Leavitt, they are especially critical factors of change with which these factors interact and must be reconciled with it
(whether all or only some).
Leavitt’s Diamond is often referred to as a “component model for the implementation of change” and provoked a number of
followers - see Critical success factors. Leavitt actually helped launch the trend of CSF.
