To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Joshua Overbay. I am a filmmaker and professor in film at Asbury
University. I recently completed my first feature film, As It Is in Heaven. Shortly after
this, I directed Hope Bridge, which is where I first met Lea Beasmore.
I had the pleasure of working with Lea during the principal photography of Hope Bridge.
Quickly, I discovered her skill as an actor and cast member. Though only considered a
“background actor,” Lea performed with excellence and commitment to her position. In
fact, because of her quality work, I decided to feature her in many close-ups and reaction
shots. This was due not only to her natural acting ability, but also to her willingness to
show patience and professionalism during the on-set process, which can often be
exhausting. Lea, however, showed no signs of frustration; instead, she remained willing
to do whatever necessary to benefit the production.
It has been an honor to briefly write about Lea Beasmore. Please contact me at any point
if I can be of additional assistance. I give her my highest recommendation.
Sincerely,
Joshua Overbay
Director, As It Is in Heaven and Hope Bridge
Assistant Professor in Film at Asbury University
